Farhat Hyderi, P.Geol.

President & Chief Executive Officer

Farhat Hyderi has 27 years of oil & gas industry experience. He got his master degree in Geology from Karachi University Pakistan and Applied Petroleum Engineering & Technology from SAIT.

He is a professional geologist and has APEGA certification. He is affiliated with CSPG, AAPG & PAPG. Farhat Hyderi began his career in the oil and gas industry in 1994 with Baker Hughes INTEQ in Pakistan as a Petroleum Geologist. While he was with BHI he was working in Pakistan, Oman and Qatar offshore. In 1997 he moved to Canada and joined Halliburton as a Petroleum Geologist & Data Engineer in Alberta, East coast Canada, Aberdeen offshore Scotland and Kazakhstan.

In 2003 Mr. Hyderi started his geological consulting company and managing SABLE PETROLEUM CONSULTANTS INC. providing geological services to leading E&P companies in Alberta. In 2012 he started SILVERLEAF RESOURCES INC. as a E&P company and have acquired few properties in Alberta. Now Mr. Hyderi is completely focusing towards properties acquisition.

WASIM AHMAD, P.Eng.

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Ahmad is Chief Operating Officer and a founder of Silverleaf Resources. He holds a Masters of Engineering degree in Petroleum from University of Alberta and is a professional engineer with over 13 years of international and dynamic experience in oil and gas industry.

Prior to Silverleaf, Mr. Ahmad worked as a second in-charge for a junior oil and gas company and was responsible for running the operations in Alberta and British Colombia. His early career is distinguished with increasing responsibility in well completions, production engineering and project management.

Mr. Ahmad is specialized in identifying and evaluation of low valued, low risk oil and gas acquisition opportunities in the tight economic market.

E. Wayne Sampson

VP, Land

With over 30+ years of experience, Wayne always maintained a close tie to the hands-on aspect of land work.  While his main areas of expertise relate to contract negotiations/preparation and title analysis/curative, a significant aspect of his recent work has been surface oriented.  

He has also been involved in A & D, M & A, Joint Interest, Marketing, and Investor Relations at various companies with which he has been associated with.

Alex Wright, P.Geoph.

Geophysical Consultant

Mr. Wright is a Professional Geophysicist registered with APEGA and has over 20 years of experience in the energy industry. As an exploration and development geophysicist, he has proven success in applying interpretation and risk analysis to diverse prospect generation and reserve growth; booked reserve adds since 1997 exceeds 11,100 MBOE proven; 232,400 MBOE proven, plus probable.

During his studies in geology and geophysics at the University of Calgary he became acquainted with the science of seismic sequence stratigraphy while working for Mobil Oil Canada which later became Exxon-Mobil.

His co-authored work on lateral accretion has been published at Geoconvention 2014 and Canadian Heavy Oil Conference 2014.

Ali Mohsin, Safety Eng.

Lead HSE Safety Advisor

Mr. Ali Mohsin is a Professional Industrial Safety Specialist registered with BCRSP / NEBOSH/SPE and has over 18 years of experience indifferent industrial sectors. He is also a Certified Health & Safety Auditor (CHSA) who has worked internationally in France, Canada Venezuela, Dubai, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Pakistan. He possesses a Master’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering from Dalhousie University Canada and Bachelors of Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering from NED University Pakistan.  

As a safety specialist, he has proven success in applying for Behavior-Based Safety programs in Oil Gas, Construction and Manufacturing industries. His core expertise are Auditing, Hazard Analysis & Risk ControlMeasures (HARC), Accident Investigations, Kaizen, Lean 6 Sigma and Trainings.  He has work experience with major oil gas exploration companies like British Petroleum and Saudi Aramco along with their contractors such as Schlumberger and Weatherford Oil Tool Ltd.

David A. Brown

Engineering Consultant

A technologist with over 25 years of experience in numerous aspects of operations engineering in Western Canada and United States. Successful in dealing with production optimization, artificial lift, stimulations, completions, workovers, construction, pressure transient analysis, gas compression operations, critical sour operations, area production forecasting, exploitation of oil and gas, capital and operating expense budget preparation and joint interest partner activities. In addition, raised and implemented capital to launch a private service company, Grew the company to five (5) service rigs worth +11.0 MM of assets and over 30 employees and contractors.

Haris Kamran

Environmental Manager

Haris Kamran is our Head of Environmental functions with over 8 years of experience of land reclamation in Alberta. Alberta. He champions Alberta’s strict environmental regulations regarding reusage of oil and gas fields to sustainable land use. Haris graduated from McMaster University in 2012 and has done various Environmental accreditations since then

ALMA L. EAMER, P. Geo.

Ms. Eamer is a Professional Geologist with 25+ years of diverse and successful experience in evaluations, prospect generation, and exploration and development geology primarily focused on Cretaceous to Devonian targets W4 – W6. She has established an enviable track record with both major and junior startup companies having gained excellent training and mentorship early on with major oil companies including Pan Canadian Petroleum and Anadarko Petroleum .

From conventional oil and gas to unconventional light oil, Mannville heavy oil horizontal drilling and implementation of secondary recovery strategies including water flood projects Ms. Eamer’s ability to integrate her geologic understanding and interpretation has led to optimizing performance and improving results in all areas of E and P.

Alma’s roles have included Exploration Manager, Area Geosciences Manager and Area Development Manager as well as President of her own Geological consulting Company which she incorporated in 2002. Throughout her geological career Ms. Eamer has established a wide range of industry networks which keep her current and passionate on the ever changing oil and gas environment.
