Farhat Hyderi, P.Geol.
President & Chief Executive Officer
Farhat Hyderi has 23 years of oil & gas industry experience and 14 years of company management experience. He got his master’s degree in Geology in 1992 and Applied Petroleum Engineering & Technology in 2002. He is a professional geologist and have APEGA certification. He is affiliated with CSPG, AAPG & PAPG. Farhat Hyderi began his career in oil and gas industry in 1994 with Baker Hughes INTEQ as Petroleum Geologist, while he was with BHI he was working in Pakistan, Oman and Qatar offshore. In 1997 he moved to Canada and joined Halliburton as Petroleum Geologist & Data Engineer in East coast Canada, Aberdeen offshore Scotland, Kazakhstan and Alberta. In 2003 Farhat started his consulting company and has been managing Sable Petroleum Consultants Inc. for last 14 years. In 2012 he started Silverleaf Resources Inc. as an E&P company and acquired few properties in Alberta. Now his focus completely lies towards property acquisition.
WASIM AHMAD, P.Eng.
Chief Operating Officer
Over EIGHT years international and dynamic experience in oil and gas industry including field operations, project management, work-overs and rig-less well intervention operations. Mr. Ahmad has done his masters from University of Alberta and is a professional engineer having APEGA certification. He worked as a Second in-charge for a junior oil and gas company prior joining Silverleaf Resources Inc. He was responsible for running the operations of the company in Alberta and British Colombia. He is specialized in Oil and Gas Reservoir/Asset Evaluation of size $10-100MM and had prepared investment and divestment plans. Liaise with reservoir, production, finance, joint venture, land and legal departments to make sure efficient communication between all sections in order to achieve company’s targets is one of his strength. He is experienced in oil and gas property acquisition, running the operations throughout the life of the asset to the divestment or reclamation.
JASON SHIM, P.Eng.
Senior Production Engineer
JASON SHIM has over 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. Jason is a registered Professional Engineer with APEGA. He specializes in drilling, completions, production and facilities operations and reservoir engineering. During the past 15 years, he has provided technical support to multiple E&P companies in well planning and drilling engineering, well completions, production optimization, economic and reserves evaluations, acquisitions and divestitures, regulatory compliance and reservoir optimization studies. Jason joined Silverleaf Resources Inc. in 2017 as a Senior Production Engineer. He has held various positions in drilling/completions, development/reservoir and production engineering with Resourceful Petroleum Canada Ltd., Native American Resource Partners, Terra Energy Corporation, Encana Corporation and Halliburton Energy Services from 1999 to 2015.
Qamar Iqbal
Lead HSE Engineer and Business Development
Qamar Iqbal has over 22 years of experience in oil / gas and environment industry. Qamar holds a master’s degree in geology as well as diploma in managerial skills. Since he first joined BHI in 1996 as mud logging geologist than move to International Logging (Weatherford) in 1997 and performed analysis of geological data, real-time for pore pressure, fracture gradient, hydraulics interpretation and technical support solutions in offshore operating environment in Far East, ME and central Asia. Qamar has also held numerous management positions worldwide including Operations coordinator for Singapore and Team Leader, Marketing Manager & Base Manager for Pakistan as well as Project Manager for Mauritania. In 2012, Qamar migrated to Canada and worked for Husky Oil as a consultant geologist till 2014. During almost same period till 2015 he was accounts manager Pakistan for DHI services. In 2014, Qamar joined “Promet Environmental Group, Canada as an Environmental Technical and marketing professional, he leads a team of air quality technologists in Promet. Now Mr. Iqbal is a lead in HSE and Business Development within Silverleaf Resources Inc.
